put the heat on (someone) – to put pressure on someone to act (किसी पर कुछ करने का दबाव डालना)

take the heat – to accept criticism or scolding (आलोचना/ डांट स्वीकार करना)

heat up (something) – to become more active (अधिक सक्रिय बनना)

dead heat - a competition in which two or more competitors finish at exactly the same time or with exactly the same result (मुकाबले के परिणाम में बराबरी का या बहुत कम फर्क होना)

beat the heat - to find ways of staying cool and comfortable in very warm weather (गर्म मौसम में शांत और आरामदायक रहने के तरीके खोजना)
