1. Housewarming
- A party that you give in a house that you have just moved into (जब आप किसी नए घर में जाते हैं.)

2. Dinner Party
- A special meal that you have to celebrate a particular occasion (जब आप लोगों को रात के खाने पर बुलाते हैं, अकसर किसी खास मौके पर.)

3. Cocktail party
- A formal party in the early evening at which alcoholic drinks and small things to eat are served. (यह पार्टी शाम में करी जाती है और इसमें कुछ खाने पीने की चीज़ें और दारू होती है.)

4. Hen night
- A celebration for a woman who is about to get married, in which only her women friends take part. (एक पार्टी जो किसी लड़की के लिए तब रखी जाती है जब उसकी शादी होने वाली होती है. इसमें सिर्फ उनकी सहेलियां होती हैं.)

5. Masquerade
- A party where people dress as different characters. (जिसमें लोग अलग अलग पात्र बन कर आते हैं.)

6. Slumber party
An occasion when a group of children all sleep at the house of one child. (जिसमें सब बच्चे किसी एक के घर पर सोने जाते हैं.)

7. Stag night
An occasion when a group of men celebrate together because one of them is soon to be married. (जब किसी लड़के की शादी होने वाली होती है, उससे पहले होने वाली पार्टी. इसमें अक्सर सिर्फ उनके दोस्त ही शामिल होते हैं.)

8. BYOB (Bring your own booze)
- It is often placed on an invitation to indicate that the host will not be providing alcohol and that guests are welcome to bring their own. (जब किसी पार्टी में आपको अपनी दारू खुद लेकर जानी होती है.)
